Description
This download contains the latest drivers for Creative Sound Blaster 16, 32, or AWE sound cards operating under Windows 95 or 98. Primarily this update includes a recent fix for an audio distortion problem that occurs when the Sound Blaster 16Xpress chip was left running overnight. It also includes the following fixes:
- Removes demand mode feature for all chips
- Fixes the PCMCIA card’s logical device ID if it is too long.

- Resolves the problem of Windows 95 defined devices appearing as a device driver installation option during Windows NT setup.
- Fixes the problem due to the DirectSound playback getting the same wave device as the WaveIn.
- Fixes wave playback looping problems in full duplex mode.
- Solves bug for Creative Mixer 32 application on CT4520 and CT4530 cards.
- Enables DOS Games to run in DOSBox on system that implements 16CL chip as a motherboard BIOS drive.
- Sets noise level of CT4520 to be almost the same as CT4500.
